Nick (after eating half of his giant chocolate bunny): "Mom, can I have breakfast? That bunny was dessert."

Me: "Well, you don't typically eat dessert after breakfast, that's usually reserved for after dinner."

Nick: "I know...that's why I ate it before!"

RACHAEL: Paste made out of beans.

Nick on Old Ladies

Nick has always been a night owl. (Takes after his momma!) Several years ago, when Nick was about 4, he happened to find a cell phone at around 2:00am. After calling and waking up the grandparents, he decided to call a friend of mine. Being particularly chatty (and apparently lonely!), he tried as hard as he could to keep her on the phone. After she told him to go back to bed, he continued to call her back. After the third time, she told him NOT to call back, when he responded in his best elderly voice, "It's not Nick, it's an old lady!" Nice try, Nick, you have caller ID!

Nick on Home Decor

When Rachael, Nick's sister, was out of town for a few weeks, Jeff & his dad worked on completing a surprise room for her to come home to. We were trying to figure out how to get her to go to the basement to see her room. Nick had a solution. He suggested we that we tell her that she needed to be blindfolded because I *accidentally* superglued pictures of naked people all over the walls...


He also said that he thought he needed to live alone when he got older because he'd like to superglue naked pictures of himself on the walls. That would be cool... unless, of course, he had a dog who only ate paper...then he'd be in trouble. ;-D

Nick on Dating

Since Nick seems to have a penchant for filling out online forms, Jeff (my husband/Nick's Dad) & I go through his email regularly to make sure he's not getting into any (serious) trouble. What did we find on our most recent scan? A dating profile FOR ME on christiansingles.com! When asked about it, he said he didn't want me to be lonely when Jeff & I got divorced! Mind you, Jeff and I have been together for 21 years and have NO plans of divorce! Nick doesn't even know anyone who has been affected by divorce in his lifetime. Needless to say, we had to have a LONG talk about filling out forms...and divorce!
